That’s where I come in: I’m Jan Eaken, a seasoned realtor serving the DFW area, and I believe selling your home or finding the home of your dreams can and should be an enjoyable experience. Whether you’re buying your first home, looking to downsize, or are relocating to Texas, I’ll work with you each step of the way to accomplish your goals in less time and with less stress than you thought possible.

You’ve built an incredible reputation in real estate—what do you think has been the key to your success in such a competitive market?
My approach to real estate may be a little different in that I don’t really look at it as a job. It makes me happy when I can help people accomplish their goals. I provide a high level of customer service and am committed to my clients. I believe that has been a big factor in my success.
Your clients often describe you as more than just a real estate agent—how do you build those lasting relationships with the people you serve?
I believe it starts with trust. I am a pretty straight shooter and my clients have generally really appreciated that and I work hard for them. I also stay in touch with all of my clients through a myriad of ways. And, I am always available to help with any questions or requests often many years after the transaction.
We love that you give back in such a unique way—can you tell us about your partnership with Little Elm Animal Services and how it works?
For each home I sell, I sponsor the adoption fee of a shelter pet and provide them with a toy basket filled with toys and treats.
What inspired you to connect your real estate success with supporting shelter pets?
There are a number of reasons. I love giving back to my community and I have a great love for rescue dogs. It just seemed like a perfect marriage to share my love of helping people with their real estate needs with 2 of my other passions.
Of all the homes you’ve sold and adoptions you’ve sponsored, is there a particular story that stands out as especially meaningful?
I was contacted last year by a young couple that planned to move to Texas from Missouri because she saw some of my posts about dogs I had sponsored along with the house sold and it’s owners. She has rescue dogs and it tugged at her heart. They were newly married and the cutest couple and were so sweet, I wanted to adopt them. After their closing, in addition to sponsoring an adoption, I gave her one of the toy baskets filled with toys and treats for her own 2 rescue pups. She squealed in delight that her “boys” were going to love it. Made my heart happy!
